Cin7 Core Enhancements | 24th September, 2023

FEATURES: Create custom filters for sales list, display sale order type (advanced, simple, service) on sales list, download additional product properties to Cin7 Core from Shopify and more!

Feature 1: Create custom filters for sales list

Impact area:

Sales module

Introduction:

In addition to the sales list filters that are already available, with this release, users can create custom filters for more precise segmentation of their sales lists. Custom filters can be made available to all users of the organization, or made private so only the user who created it can see it. Custom filters can use sale order or customer parameters such as shipping address detail, customer contact, sale location, payment terms and more. Combining multiple parameters with AND/OR operators allows our users to create complex and sophisticated filtering for their sales list.

Pre-conditions:

  • Users will need the Sales – List and tasks permissions to use this feature.

Functionality:

  • Please see documentation for detailed instructions.

With this release, a new column has been added to the sales list display indicating the type of sale for each sale displayed. No additional user actions is required.

Introduction:

Sales Demand Forecasting in Cin7 Core is an estimate of the quantity of goods and services which can be sold over the forecast period. The estimation is done based on the historical data about actual fulfilled sales.

This template will then be fetched in Automation → Scheduled report → Select template for scheduling

Pre-conditions:

  • Automation module subscription is required.
  • Users will need the Sales – List and tasks permissions to use this feature.
  • Sales demand forecasting feature will only work if you have a good amount of historical sales data (i.e. 6-12 months+).

Functionality:

  • Navigate to Settings → Automation →  Report scheduling.
  • On the Scheduled reports page, click the + button on the top left
  • In the New scheduled report popup, select Sales Demand Forecast.
  • Select a template (non-default templates will need to be created first from Sales Demand Forecast) and a scheduling frequency.

Feature 4: Shopify – Download additional product properties to Cin7 Core

Impact area:

Shopify integration, Sales module

Introduction:

Shopify uses 3rd party applications which enables users to customize products when purchasing, such as size, color, engraving, etc. With this release, users can download these additional properties from Shopify to the sale comment field in Cin7 Core. All additional properties (if more than one exists) will be stored in the same field.

Pre-conditions:

  • Active Shopify integration
  • Only applicable when No consolidation is selected for orders.

Functionality:

  • From Cin7 Core, go to Integrations → Shopify and select the Setup tab.
  • In Account and cash settings, scroll to Import additional properties from Shopify and enable the setting.

Feature 5: QBO: Turn sync on/off for specific sales channels

Impact area:

QuickBooks integration

Introduction:

A new section, Sale channel – sync type has been added to the Sync options section of QuickBooks Online integration. The table in this displays a list of sales channels integrated with Cin7 Core for that organization. By default, Cin7 Core and Cin7 Core API are shown.

The other table columns are Invoice sync type and COGS sync type. These can be set to Individual, or No sync for each sales channel and each sync type. By default, Individual is selected whenever a new sales channel is added, which syncs each invoice or COGS transaction to QBO as an individual entity.

If No sync is selected, transactions will not sync to QBO at all. These entries will be marked as Skipped in Cin7 Core and display a comment.

This feature replaces the Export COGS setting from QBO general settings.

Note: All settings on this page are applicable to sales invoices, sale payments, credit notes, credit note refunds, COGS. Purchase invoices will sync to QBO as per existing functionality.

Pre-conditions:

  • QBO integration

Functionality:

  • Please see documentation for further information.
