Accurate landed costs, meaning accurate gross profit report
Allocate freight and duty charges back to a Purchase Order and set an exchange rate in order to get an accurate landed cost value on your inventory. Stock is valued at the exact landed cost the stock is brought in at, allowing for variances in currency or freight charges. This figure is used for COGS, giving accurate gross profit.

Track stock in multiple branches under the one Cin7 account. This is perfect if you have multiple retail stores or a separate warehouse to your retail store. If you sell out of one branch and distribute out of another, Cin7 can manage this to maintain accurate stock figures.
Smart buying and reordering
Create purchase orders based on sales orders where there is not enough stock to fulfil the order. Products are grouped based on preferred supplier, allowing for seamless reordering of stock. You can also create purchase orders where stock is less than minimum stock level.
Serial and batch tracking
Track your inventory with serial and batch numbers. Specific batches can be tracked back to a specific purchase or sales order, allowing for maximum visibility.
Kits can be constructed directly in a sales order. These can be created as a unique one-off or loaded from a pre-set bill of materials. This allows you to reduce stock of items which are used to make the finished item and also calculates the cost of goods based on the cost of all materials used.

Buy and sell in different units
Track stock in one unit of measure and sell in another. Stock will always be tracked based on the main unit of measure; however Cin7 allows the ability to display the order in another unit of measure and at a different price.
Cin7 offers the ability to create bill of materials for items which are light manufactured, up to two levels deep. Create production jobs from sale orders and report on planned production, along with materials required to meet these jobs.
Upon completing jobs, stock is removed from the bill of material items and a cost price is allocated to the light manufactured product based on the cost price of each individual item used for accurate COGS.
