Founder and CEO Julie Mathers was number 2 on the list while COO Tom Abraham ranked 35th.
Specializing in vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly products, the fast-growing online retailer turned over nearly $10 million in FY19, more than double its FY18 revenue, and opened its first brick-and-mortar store at its Sydney warehouse in The Rocks.
“Julie’s contribution back to the retail community via public speaking engagements and active participation in retail industry groups is a testament to the company’s success,” said judge Jessica Ip. “Julie is the embodiment of the ‘woke’ consumer and continues to expand Flora & Fauna’s range in response.”
Meanwhile, judge Paul Boudet praised Tom’s impressive list of behind-the-scenes initiatives: “He transformed warehouse operations and inventory management, introducing a fully integrated digital warehouse management system and inventory replenishment modeling tools among other things, leading to increased business efficiency.”
We’re delighted to be part of Flora & Fauna’s success as well as the burgeoning movement toward ethically sourced and sustainable retail.
