What is our new B2B Online Store feature?

The B2B Online Stores connects inventory and product information and order workflows between Cin7 and a web store that can be quickly set up for product sellers to give their on-account customers a secure, tailored self-serve purchasing experience.

How does it benefit me?

If you sell wholesale (or want to get started) you can increase your wholesale distribution and build long-lasting customer relationships while saving your sales team time spent processing orders. Your wholesale customers can view products in their price tier and place individual orders or reorders easily. With orders going directly to a default branch (with 3PL transfer option available), orders can be fulfilled more efficiently. 

How does this contribute to product sellers thriving?

Product sellers can increase their sales to wholesale distribution customers, become more efficient by saving their sales team time processing orders, and build long-lasting customer relationships. Their B2B customers can view products in their price tier and place individual orders or reorders easily. With orders going directly to a default branch (with 3PL transfer option available), orders are fulfilled more efficiently saving product sellers substantial time and money.

I’m an existing customer. Are B2B Online Stores included in my Cin7 plan?

B2B Online Stores is available as part of your subscription plan and we added it to your plan to make it easy to get started. Visit Cin7 Connect, ask Cin7 support or your company’s administrator to help you get started. Our March 2021 plan update added the following to your Cin7 subscription plan for no additional charge:

Starter or Business: 1 B2B Online Store added to existing plans.

Professional or Custom: 2 B2B Online Stores added to existing plans.

Enterprise: 3 B2B Online Stores added to existing plans.

I’m not a Cin7 customer yet. Will I still get B2B Online Stores?

Yes! As a new customer, Cin7 sales will help you get started with the best plan for your business. Request a demo now.

How do I set up a B2B Online Store?

A store can be activated for a Cin7 account by request through Cin7 Connect, or via the Cin7 App Store. Your request is sent to the accounts management team. You must provide a name for your store--this is the name that will appear in your Cin7 account. Once activated, you’re notified and the store name becomes visible under Integrations in the left navigation pane. You can then proceed to set up the store with a subdomain and to configure store settings.

Can I continue using Cin7’s legacy B2B product?

Yes. Cin7’s Legacy B2B Online product (formerly referred to as Online B2B in the App Store; and as B2B V1 internally) will continue to be supported.

What features are under development for the B2B Online Store?

While the B2B Online Store includes many new features that did not exist in the legacy product, there are still a few that must be developed. We intend to release these features soon:

  • Multiple payment options at checkout (Payment Portal integration)
  • Freight options at checkout
  • Custom Landing Page
  • Category navigation

 


Product Questions 

 

How do I apply promotions/contract pricing to a store?

Customers that want to use promotional and contract pricing on their B2B Online Stores must install Cin7 Promotions from the Cin7 App Store. With a couple of clicks, Promotions is added to their account. Promotions is currently a Preview Release product, and works only with B2B Online Stores.

Can I use my own subdomain for a store?

Yes. The B2B Online Store gives you the option to set up the store with a URL as a subdomain of a Cin7 domain, or of their own domain. This is done in the Custom Domain Name field in the B2B Online Store settings. If using your own domain, you must set up a subdomain for your store through your website hosting/domain provider, and point it to Cin7. 

Can I change a store’s domain name?

You can change your domain name at any time. If you're using your own domain, you must set the new name for your store through your website hosting/domain provider, and point it to Cin7.

Can my wholesale customers be invited to multiple stores?

Yes. A customer can use the same email address and password to access multiple stores.

Can my customers delete an order after it’s been placed?

No. The order must be voided from the Sales Order module.

Can I set up a customized home page for my store?

Not yet. We are working on custom landing pages.

Are there any payment options other than on-account?

Not yet. We are working on additional payment options.

Can customers be given freight options in the store?

Not yet. The current setting is for freight is To be Confirmed. We are working on Freight options.

Can the invitation and order confirmation email be customized?

No, at this stage the templates cannot be customized.
