Food manufacturing

There are almost as many types of food manufacturing as there are types of food. One system is never going to be able to service the entire industry unless it's highly customisable. And Cin7 is highly customisable.

Batch tracking

Each production order loads all the ingredients to enable recording batch numbers of ingredients used in each production run. In the advent of a recall, a batch number can be tracked to each customer, production job, and purchase.

Record actuals

Each production job provides an easy way to record actual usage of ingredients, machine time and labor time.

Security by customer group

Customers can be grouped, and given specific security rules such as what product categories and features they can view.

Multiple payment options including credit card and On Account

Some customers may be on a cash account where they can pay on credit card, or pay by direct credit before products are sent. While other customers are on post-pay systems, and can be sent an account.

Expiry dates

For each ingredient or finished product, an expiry date can be record against each batch.

Built in materials planning requirement planning

Scheduled production jobs and sales orders can be viewed in a 'materials planning screen' or a 'requirement planning screen' to highlight when components used to make those products will run out.  This gives you an easy view on what to order, and when.
